Kansas Housing Market Stats – November 2020

“2020 is shaping up to be a record year,” said KAR president, Marsha McConnell with Plaza Astle Realty in Hutchinson. “Across the state, median sale prices for the year are up more than 10 percent compared to last year.”

November 2020 Market Highlights

  • Home sales in Kansas rose by 14.3% percent in November 2020 compared to the same period last year. National sales rose with sales rising 25.8% over 2019.
  • Home prices continue to increase across the state. The statewide average sale price in November was $250,142 a 13.3% increase compared to last year. Midwest prices rose 14.6% and US prices rose 14.6%.
  • Mortgage rates continue to fall. The national average commitment rate on 30-year conventional mortgage for the week ending December 18, 2020 was 2.67%. View Freddie Mac’s report.
