Trade School Scholarship

The Kansas REALTORS® Trade School Scholarship Program was created to expand the home-building workforce by supporting Kansas students pursuing trade vocations. Its purpose is to reduce financial barriers and empower more Kansans to gain the skills needed to help house their communities.

Scholarships of up to $1000 will be awarded to cover expenses such as tuition, materials, and necessary supplies.  All funds will be paid directly to the enrolling institution, subject to their scholarship policies.

Who is eligible?

  • Kansas graduating high school seniors (or equivalent) or current students who are enrolled at an accredited two-year trade school program in Kansas or one of the four neighboring states.
  • Area of study must be a trade related to home building, including, but not limited to: Carpentry, Construction Management, Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing.

Applications will be considered for each of the ten Local REALTOR® Associations throughout the State of Kansas. You do not need to know which one you live in, but you can look at a map here. If you do not live inside a Local REALTOR® Association’s territory, you may still apply for the scholarship. Our Local Association partners will assist in selecting applicants and delivering the award.

Application deadline is November 15th. Winners will be announced early December.
