Awards Committee / SOP

  • Selects recipients for Association awards and recognition programs.
  • Meets as needed at state meetings and remotely.
  • Three-year commitment.

Broker Work Group / SOP

  • Provides direction on KR educational and networking opportunities for brokers, owners and managers during KR conferences, in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Meets as needed remotely and in person during state meetings.
  • One-year commitment.

Budget and Finance Committee / SOP

  • Responsible for handling Association financial matters.
  • Meets as needed at State Association meetings and at two stand-alone meetings, one for the previous years’ audit presentation and the other to review the following years’ budget. 
  • Three-year commitment.

Credentials Committee / SOP

  • Evaluates Candidate applications for KR elected offices
  • Establishes, monitors and enforces campaign and election rules
  • Meets as needed throughout the year via in-person or virtually.
  • Two-year commitment

Forms Committee / SOP

  • Responsible for developing, marketing, and providing KR members with comprehensive and legally approved real estate forms
  • Initiates reviews, edits, drafts, and votes on any changes to forms that are copyrighted and published by the Kansas REALTORS®
  • Recommends and evaluate training needed on KR forms
  • Three-year commitment

Governmental Affairs Committee / SOP

  • Investigates, evaluates and proposes legislative pursuits to promote a favorable real estate industry legislative climate.
  • Meets at each state association meeting, via conference call during the Legislative Session as needed; and in summer policy-making sessions as needed.
  • Manages the State Political Coordinator Progam.
  • Three-year commitment.

Governmental Affairs Forum / SOP

  • Gain information on current and proposed legislative and regulatory issues to promote communication outside of the Government Affairs Committee.
  • Meets concurrently with the Government Affairs Committee.
  • Members, including all State Political Coordinators on and ex officio basis, do not have a vote but are invited to engage in discussion.
  • One-year commitment.

Member Engagement Work Group / SOP

  • Provides member input into the programming, content, events, and promotion of Association conferences and events; acts as RRF Ambassadors for Kansas REALTORS®; grows committee involvement and member engagement; and develops and administers the KR Conference Scholarship Program.
  • Meets as needed at state meetings.
  • Two-year commitment.

NAR Leadership Fund Trustees / Fund Guidelines

  • Oversees funds that financially support efforts to maintain and enhance the national posture of KR and its members.
  • Meets at each KR governance Meeting and as needed.
  • Two-year commitment.

Opportunities Advisory Board / SOP

  • Identifies opportunities, personnel, projects, and resources for local associations to increase their community engagement, expand economic growth, and grow mutually beneficial relationships with outside organizations.
  • Meets as deemed necessary by the call of the Chair. Meets via Zoom or in-person based on the meeting’s purpose and complexity of the issue to be discussed.
  • Two-year commitment.

Professional Development Committee / SOP

  • The Task Force will review all KR professional development and educational courses and offerings.
  • Meets as needed throughout the year via in-person or virtually.
  • One time appointment.

Professional Standards Committee / SOP

  • Oversees Regional Professional Standards program.
  • Only meets in person at Annual Conference & Education Expo.
  • Holds conference call meetings when a complaint is filed.
  • Three-year commitment.

Professional Standards Grievance Committee / SOP

  • Reviews grievance complaints filed with KR.
  • Only holds conference call meetings when a complaint is filed.
  • Three-year commitment.

RPAC Trustees / Bylaws

  • Promotes fundraising and handles disbursement of RPAC funds to state legislative candidates.
  • Meets several times each year including at state meetings.
  • Four-year commitment.

State Political Coordinator / More Information

  • SPC’s implement the legislative agenda set by KR alongside Governmental Affairs staff.
  • Meets virtually for annual training and virtually during the legislative session as needed.
  • Two-year commitment.

Vision Team / SOP

  • Identifies trends, economic factors, industry dynamics and issues
  • Creates an annual report of findings that impacts KR goals and objectives
  • Meets in person and via conference call several times throughout the year
  • Three-year commitment
