We get asked all the time;
“Do I need to add my brokerage name when advertising online?”
In Kansas, we do have rules stating that the brokerage name must be displayed in all real estate advertising, this does apply to social media marketing also.
So I have a question for you, but first, here is a document Luke Bell wrote about the legalities of including your brokerage name in your advertising;
But, I have a question…. What defines advertising in your real estate business when it comes to social media?
- Is posting a link to your website for more details about a listing advertising?
- Is adding a status update or tweeting that you showed houses today advertising?
- What if you post a photo of your clients standing in front of their new home after closing, is that advertising?
