October 2023 Market Highlights
- Home sales in Kansas fell by 8.8% in October 2023 compared to the same period last year. National sales fell with sales falling 14.6% over 2022.
- Home prices continue to increase across the state. The statewide average sale price in October was $301,032 a 1.6% increase compared to last year. Midwest prices rose 4.2% and US prices rose by 3.4%.
- Mortgage rates continue to increase. The national average commitment rate on 30-year conventional mortgage for the week ending November 17, 2023 was 7.44%. View Freddie Mac’s report.
