“Sale prices are continuing to rise, even as sales activity has slowed,” said KAR president Thomas Howe with McGrew Real Estate in Lawrence.
November 2023 Market Highlights
- Home sales in Kansas fell by 7.0% in November 2023 compared to the same period last year. National sales fell with sales falling 17.3% over 2022.
- Home prices continue to increase across the state. The statewide average sale price in November was $305,833 a 5.0% increase compared to last year. Midwest prices rose 4.9% and US prices rose by 4.0%.
- Mortgage rates are decreasing. The national average commitment rate on 30-year conventional mortgage for the week ending December 15, 2023 was 6.67%. View Freddie Mac’s report.
