In past weeks, an individual named Ray Perry, operating out of Las Vegas and referring to himself as “The Mediator,” has been contacting state and local associations and members to market a “credit clearing system.” In addition to making telephone solicitations, Mr. Perry has been mailing a document titled “Legal Disclosure” in which he claims he is contacting recipients “on the recommendation of the National Association of Realtors.” He also states that NAR advised him to apprise as many state and local residential real estate associations as possible regarding his product, among other claims.
Be advised that NAR did not recommend any such contact, has not advised Mr. Perry to apprise any associations of his product, and does not endorse Mr. Perry or his business.
