Earning your GRI designation is a way to stand out to prospective homebuyers and sellers as a REALTOR® who has gained in-depth knowledge on technical subjects as well as the fundamentals of real estate. It is recognized and respected nationally as a significant accomplishment and a clear indication of one’s dedication to excellence.


* EARN THE KANSAS GRI DESIGNATION *
1. Complete the GRI Application Form
2. Pay the $25 Program Initiation Fee
3. Purchase and complete GRI 101–114 courses
4. Submit the Kansas Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) Program – Course Tracking Form
5. Pay the $50 Program Completion Fee

YOU WILL RECEIVE

* Ability to display “GRI” after your name in all business communications and advertising


KANSAS GRI PROGRAM SUMMARY
-Licensed REALTORS® are eligible
-Approved by the National Association of REALTORS®
-Consists of 80 credit hours
-Online and live classroom courses
-Many of the courses in the GRI Program offer continuing education credit
-No years of experience, income, or number of transaction requirements
-Program Initiation Fee $25 & Program Completion Fee $50
-No annual fees
-GRI Graduates receive a certificate, GRI pin, and press release

EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
GRI designees increase their expertise and value, provide a higher level of service, and generate more business by building new skills in a wide range of subject areas.

During the program, you will learn how to:

  • Design a powerful business plan for increased productivity and higher-quality service
  • Negotiate more effectively on behalf of buyers and sellers
  • Avoid legal pitfalls through an understanding of contract law
  • Utilize systems to meet the full range of buyer and seller needs
  • Provide more value to real estate investment clients
  • Structure business practices based on tax opportunities and obligations
  • Explain basic tax implications of home ownership (but not give tax advice)
  • Speak more knowledgeably about structural features and routine issues found in homes
  • Improve communication and relationships with clients and other real estate professionals
  • Employ current technology to serve today’s consumers
  • Conduct day-to-day business with an increased understanding of legal and ethical considerations

All courses in the GRI Program are approved by the National Association of REALTORS® and are taught by subject matter experts who empower REALTORS® with knowledge and skills that directly benefit buyer and seller clients while also helping REALTORS® achieve their business goals.

We recommend you complete the program within two years, but it must be finalized within five years.
