In 2011, 10 REALTORS® took part in the prestigious leadership program of the Kansas Association of Realtors. The REALTORS® were part of the 9th annual class of The Right Track: Leadership In Motion from the Association.
Through The Right Track, the Kansas Association of REALTORS® seeks to identify and equip REALTOR® leaders for future leadership positions in their communities, as well as in the Association. Participation in the program is limited each year to provide REALTORS® with hands-on leadership development experience.

Vicki Bulkley
Vicki is a broker and owner of Heritage Realty HomeFinders, Inc. in Garden City. She has been licensed since 1997, and holds the ABR, CRS and GRI designations. Some of Vicki’s professional affiliations include 2008 President of the Garden City Board of Realtors, VP Zone 8 for Kansas Association of REALTORS®, Garden City Chamber of Commerce, and the Garden City Noon Lions Club. As Past President, Vicki holds the prestigious title of being the first woman to serve a full term of office on the Garden City Noon Lions Club.
Scott Deneve
Scott is President/CEO of Platinum Realty in Overland Park. He has been licensed since 2003. Scott is currently serving the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® as an Executive Committee member, Board of Director, Chair of the Kasnas Government Affiars Committee and Vice Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. His greatest career achievement is being ranked 129th in Inc 500 magazine in 2010. In Scott’s spare time, he volunteers with Heartland Habitat for Humanity and the Kansas City Rescue Mission.
Sara Hogue-Fox
Sara is a sales associate with Kellerman Real Estate in Holton. She has been licensed since 2005. Sara serves as a board member for TAAR and the Northeast Kansas Board of REALTORS®, as well as many commitee appointments, and is a member of Topeka Area Association of REALTORS®, Kansas Association of REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS®. Sara enjoys volunteering with the Parent/Teacher Organization, Jackson County Chamber events and the Northeast Kansas Enterprise Facilitators.
Steve Larue
Steve is a sales associate with McGrew Real Estate in Lawrence, and has been licensed since 2002. He is currently the Region IV RPAC Trustee for the National Association of REALTORS® as well as Kansas’s 2012 RPAC Major Investor Council member for NAR. Steve is a presidential appointee for the executive committee for the Kansas Association of REALTORS® and serves on several committees for the association. He has served in several positions on the Lawrence Board of REALTORS® as well, most recently as their 2010 President.
Brad Metzger
Brad has been licensed since 1992, and is currently a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Griffith & Blair in Topeka. To date, Brad’s greatest career achievement is receiving the Andy Anderson Award with TAAR. Brad enjoys helping people in need by regularly volunteering his time to Meals on Wheels of Topeka. He just recently began trying his hand at standup comedy and looks forward to taking part in the future of KAR.
Kathy Minden
Kathy is broker/owner of Reece and Nichols Miami County in Paola. She has been licensed since 1984 and holds the GRI and SFR designations. Kathy enjoys helping agents meet their goals and watching them grow and develop. She volunteers her time on the Paola Chamber of Commerce and with her church, First Lutheran Church.
Tony Sanchez
Tony is a sales associate for Century 21 Cobb Realty, Inc. in Pittsburg. He has been licensed since 2000. Tony has served on various committees for the Pittsburg Board of Realtors, P.B.O.R., and Kansas Association of REALTORS®. Tony was awarded REALTOR® of the Year in 2010 for the Pittsburg Area MLS. He enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and with Pittsburg Community Theatre.
Mary Scharfe
Mary is a REALTOR® with Ryan & Sons Realtors in Manhattan. She has been licensed since 2009. Mary has served on the Education Committee for Manhattan Association of REALTORS®. She volunteers her time with the Parent Teacher Organization KSU Child Care Center and the Manhattan Jazz Festival Committee.
Ed Spexarth
Ed is an associate with J.P. Weigand & Sons in Hutchinson,licensed since 2007 and was rookie of the year in 2008. He has served on several board committees, in on the Hutch Board of REALTORS® board of directors and is the President Elect in 2012. Ed enjoys cooking and is an active member of Holy Cross Catholic
Jerry Vadnais
Jerry is a sales associate with J.P. Weigand & Sons in Wichita, and holds the ABR and SRES designations. He has been licensed since 2008. Jerry has the distinction of being Rookie of the Year, Butler County (2009) and being added to the 1,000,000 Sales Club of East Harry Weigand Office 2009 and 2010. He is associated with Butler County Board of REALTORS®, WAAR, Kansas Association of REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS®. Jerry enjoys serving on the Advisory Council and planning community events for his office.
