Scholarships to attend Kansas Association of REALTORS® (KAR) conferences are designed to help those new to the industry – or just new to KAR conferences – get involved, learn more about KAR and make the most of their conference experience.
KAR offers two conferences a year. The KAR Winter Advocacy Conference is held in late January/early February with a focus on REALTOR® legislative issues, REALTOR® advocacy, housing and property rights issues, REALTOR® involvement in the legislative process along with networking and professional development opportunities.
The KAR Annual Conference is held in late September/early October with a focus on professional development, a real estate industry focused trade show, association officers’ installation and reception, fun night along with social and networking opportunities.
For the KAR Winter Advocacy Conference, scholarships cover the cost of a single hotel room for two evenings of the conference and the luncheon held at the Capitol. Transportation, additional meals, and any special events during the conference are not covered.
For the KAR Annual Conference, scholarships cover the cost of a single hotel room for two evenings of the conference and full conference registration. Transportation, additional meals, and any special events during the conference are not covered.
Each scholarship recipient will be assigned a Mentor to help navigate and network during the respective conference. Mentors are qualified leaders at the state level who have previously attended KAR conferences and are looking to invest in the next generation of involved REALTORS®.
The online Scholarship Application for the 2024 KAR Annual Conference is now open. All qualifying applications will be put in a lottery drawing. Application deadline is midnight on August 23, 2024. Winning applicants will be notified by email no later than September 4, 2024.
