Under the Core Standards, every Local Association must have access to individuals who are qualified to provide mediation services to mediate disputes between consumers and REALTORS and between REALTOR firms. This course fulfills that requirement and equips local association volunteers and staff members with specialized knowledge.

Anglea Burdick brings a wealth of experience as a REALTOR mediator and as a civil court mediator in her home state of Colorado. As a REALTOR who has been in the real estate business for decades, she has the know-how and experience to provide solid, practical information on the mediation process. Participants will role-play common scenarios that will provide valuable experience they can take back to their local boards.

Topics for this course include:

  • Introduction to mediation;
  • Benefits of mediation; and
  • Skills needed to be a successful mediator.
